A Scissor Metaphor

Hi all

Scrapbooking Scissors – Everyone knows what scissors are, right? Well, here is a metaphor for those scrapbooking scissors.

"Scissors are like bringers of order. Scissors shape the little bits of paper into forms that you can use in your scrapbook."

A gift wrapping idea

Hi all

I have found a new use for your scrapbooking scissors when gift wrapping. Using piece of left over blue paper cut the edges with your favorite decorative edge scissor.  Then add some golden ribbon for a wonderful detail.  What a great way to add that extra personal touch to your gifts.  To read the full article follow the link to paperieboutique.com

Pretty flowers with decorative edge scissors

Hi all

Over at Posh designs the Frugal Friday post has a great demonstration using decorative edge scissors to make pretty flowers. Lorena has done a great example for all of us to follow so please drop over and have a look at the full article.

I have so many of those decorative edge scissors hanging around, I rarely use them any more, but here is a chance to use the one that looks like a scalloped edge

Best scissors for cutting fringes

HI all

These are the best Fringe scissors and are amazing time savers that allow you to cut perfectly even fringe boarders.

  • Great for making grass or perhaps hair, fur, confetti and even shredding paper.
  • Each pair has ergonomic soft-grip handles.
  • You’ll have to look really hard too find excuses not to use them on all of your projects.
This new design makes this scissors a “must have” addition to your Scrapbooking tools.

Did you Know?

You can use your decorative scissors for more than just scrapbooking?  Here is an example of Decoupage on candles

Cuts to the napkins should be made in a wavy motion or use scrapbooking scissors with decorative edges. The goal at this stage is to not have straight/ sharp cut edges as they do not blend in well as you start decoupaging the candle.
